PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
We make every attempt to ship your order as quickly as possible - usually within a few days after receiving it. However, under normal circumstances, please allow 1 - 3 weeks for us to process your order, especially when ordering 10 packs or specimen collections which are not prepared until we receive your order and payment. Our processing time is 1-3 weeks for smaller orders and 3-8 weeks for larger orders.
Our website allows you to make your payment via PayPal (which accepts all major credit and debit cards; and you do not have to have a PayPal account to pay). We also accept payment via an approved Purchase Order (PO), or by personal check. Personal checks must clear our bank before we ship your order.
We do not accept product returns, or refund money for products once they have shipped.
IN THE CONTINENTAL USA
SMALL PACKAGES (25 pounds or less) are normally shipped via US Postal Service Priority Mail. Transit time, once shipped, is usually about 2 - 5 business days.
LARGER PACKAGES (25 pounds or more) are typically shipped via UPS ground. Transit time, once shipped, is approximately 5 - 8 business days.
ALASKA, HAWAII & PUERTO RICO
Orders from Alaska, Hawaii & Puerto Rico are shipped via US Postal Service Priority Mail. If at all possible they are shipped in US Postal Service Flat Rate boxes, which keeps the shipping costs to these locations more in line with the online calculated shipping charges. However, if a larger size box is required for shipping, then the customer may be notified by e-mail of the additional amount of Postal Service charges over and above those calculated when placing the order online from our website that will need to be paid before shipping.
CANADA
Please Note: We only accept small orders (20 lb maximum) and preferrably those that can fit into either a large, medium, or small flat rate box as provided by the US Postal Office. We have turned off the ability on our website to make a purchase outside the US, so you will need to send an email to: renee.klinger@rocksandminerals.com for further information as to how to proceed with an order.
OTHER INTERNATIONAL LOCATIONS
PLEASE NOTE: We No Longer Ship To Any International Location (Except Canada as noted above). As a small company it has become beyond our capabilities to provide this service.
IMPORTANT SALES (USE) TAX INFORMATION
Our small business is located in a state (Montana) with no state Sales (Use) Tax, As such, no Sales Tax will be collected on your purchase. If you purchase merchandise over the Internet, telephone, or other remote methods, it does not exempt your order from Sales (Use) Tax in the state or US territory where you live. The states of Colorado, Connecticut, Kentucky, Louisiana, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Vermont, and Washington require purchasers in those states to review untaxed purchases and, if any tax is owed, file their respective state Sales or Use Tax return and pay any tax due. Purchasers in other states not listed may also have the same tax requirements and should check their respective state's tax website for additional information or seek advice from a tax or legal professional.
